The Experience
Matthew 28:19 tells us, “Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations…”
Discipleship Intensives are just as they sound: intense. Using Christ-centered curriculum in a small group setting, college-aged students and young adults become confident leaders who will make disciples.
Our training model provides active, hard skill development that is not easily found elsewhere. Through an intentional process of learning, teaching, and giving/receiving peer feedback, participants are equipped and commissioned to be effective small group leaders wherever they go.
General Schedule
Day 1
Participants and ministry leaders arrive at our host site and are greeted by our hospitable staff. After checking into their accommodations for the week, guests are welcomed into the Discipleship Intensive experience with an overview of how our Learn, Teach, Feedback model will make them a confident small group leader. Participants begin training in small teams called “family groups,” where they will master biblically-focused curriculum together throughout the week.
Day 1 typically includes:
- Check-in
- Welcome & Dinner
- Training Block
- Activity/Free Time
Days 2-4
As our trainings intensify, participants also attend sessions that provide helpful tools and best practices to use in family group. Each participant learns the curriculum, teaches it to their peers, and is given helpful feedback of praise and encouragement. We believe this framework stretches individuals out of their comfort zones, building their confidence in making disciples.
Days 2-4 typically include:
- Breakfast
- Training Block
- Lunch
- Free Time

After mastering effective discipleship, participants debrief in a large group setting before a Commissioning Ceremony, where they are empowered to use their new leadership skills on their college campus or in their church communities. We provide each participant with a new set of curriculum so they can easily transition into confident small group leadership.
