Residential Community

Belmont University

A four-year discipleship program to help college students grow in their faith at Belmont University

WinShape at Belmont University

Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Belmont University is a vibrant, Christian private university that draws in students from all over the world. While over 100 undergraduate programs are offered, the school is renowned for its music and performing arts program.

WinShape students at Belmont flourish in close-knit Christian community without missing out on opportunities the university has to offer. Students fill their days with classes, musical performances, internships in the city, and time with friends. All of this is complemented by WinShape programming, like one-on-one mentorship with a small group leader and large group community gatherings.

Students arrive on their first day of college already in community with friends they met at WinShape orientation week the summer before their freshman year! As a part of the Residential Community at Belmont, students have fun together, push each other toward growth, and help each other navigate and enjoy everything college life has to offer.

Applicant Questions

Do you offer tours of the program?

It is not required but is strongly beneficial, as it provides great leadership experience for students prior to college. Many of our students bring some Chick-fil-A restaurant work experience.

How long has WinShape been at Belmont?

The Belmont Residential Community’s first class of students began programming in August 2021.

How many new students are admitted each year?

As WinShape is new at Belmont, we believe there is wisdom in starting small and growing sustainably. While our first class of students at Belmont will be less than 10 students, our program is growing toward 30-40 students per incoming class.

Do I have to apply to Belmont before I apply to the WinShape College Program?

No; however, you must be officially accepted to Belmont before we can review your file for a potential interview visit selection. It would be wise to apply to both Belmont and WinShape College Program at the same time.

Interview visits are held in the spring semester each year and contain both group and individual interview portions. If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified by email at least two weeks prior to the selected date.

When will I know if I have been accepted into the program?

Applications and interviews are handled on a rolling basis. We will let you know in your interview when you can expect a response. You will be informed of a decision before the National College Decision Day (May 1).

If I am not accepted into the program this year, can I enroll at Belmont and apply again next year?

Absolutely! Both high school seniors and students in their first year of college may apply for our program.

No, housing is not provided for WinShape College Program students.
